MK2 raintray seal

Post by Blueshark » Tue May 15, 2018 8:32 pm

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if there is any need for the seals that goes over the raintray.

It holds the raintray in place and prevent fumes from the engine bay to get sucked in by the interior air intake.

Partnumber 15 in the drawing above, top right .

Price will be in the €.15 - €.20 a piece range.

As a side note, they might need to be made a little wider to fit over the new raintrays. My OE seal doesn't fit over the rain tray, although I haven't put any good amount of effort in yet.

You do need to put a little more effort into it, the original raintray is a lot thinner but the seal will fit over the new one.

I have the new material here and it fits good.

Was just asking because a lot of the seals have dried out, cracked or are torn.

Seals are in and will be available through Dreadnought Customs soon.

Wil save on shipping from the Netherlands.
