Early mk2 speedo and temp gauge

Post by the edmundator »

Can someone find the part numbers for a 1982 GTI for the following:

1) 120mph speedo (VDO)

2) temp gauge (sits in the left lower quarter of the rev counter - I assume this is available separately and not as a complete rev-counter/temp/fuel guage unit)

Both of these will be different to later models.

Thanks.

Temp gauge=533 919 511A or 155 919 511A if its square rev counter???

Speedo 120mph with trip recorder=161 957 033AA. Without trip rec=161 957 033BA

The speedo diag only shows square type on my Etka, no number for round version. Or at least i cant find it. :shocking:

Hmmm, they're round like any other mk2 Scirocco, but the rev counter has cutaways for fuel (lower right) and temp (lower left).

Can you get a screenshot of the diagram?

Thanks for looking for me.

Cool, thanks for chasing this up for me. I've managed to trace a new speedo. It will be interesting to see if the temp gauge is still available.
