Bargain time!

Post by Nate »

Just insured my mk2 for another year, and I think you'll agree this quote is a snip! All mods declared, me and swmbo to drive, sdp and commuting, limited to 5k a year.

"Go girl" was the most spectacular quote at 14k :help:

most internet sites say that they couldnt insure my vehicle at this time! :-o
its a scirocco not a bugatti veyron!!!!!!!!

im suprised actually theres not an insurance company that will sponser the club if all the member insure with them.
bulk insurance lol, could be 50% off if you buy in one week of the year.

Footman James, Brentacre & Chris Knott were always good for classic insurance for me :-)

Please do give us a call and we'll see what we can do for you. The club benefits if you take out a policy too.

Just had a renewal quote from Adrian Flux. up from £140 to over £450. Nothings changed on my part, they know about my previous claims! Apparently the insurance company I was with, Chaucer, have been taken over. They now are only quoting me for Sabre for full insurance (not classic). I have got a separate quote from Sabre and it was £350. Not sure what AF are doing, but I'm looking around for a better deal.

Well, one thing has changed - insurance premium tax has been increased since last year. Tax increases always get passed on to the consumer.

I don't mind it going up, but doubling is taking the piss.

Go compare now search classic policies too which is handy! Back below £150 again for another year at least

The thing is, customer loyalty no longer counts in the customer's favour. New customers get discounts, existing customers get taken for a ride in case they can't be bothered to search again... easy money!

I was a new customer 3 years in a row on my house insurer with the same insurance company, it was substantially cheaper than the renewal every time.
