What I Are Been Doing Today...
If you guys are interested, heres how I spent my day. Very sad I know
12 hour day today on a work-mates daily. Very tidy it is too. Great wheels and nice and low, what VWs should be. Car was pretty clean to begin with so just a quick foam needed
Valet Pro PH Foam mixed with Megs Gold Class Shampoo doing its thang...
Clayed with BH soft, water as lube. Next to nothing coming off. Looked like it had been re-sprayed as there was a few laquer issues. However always worth claying, surface did benefit from it plus the owner got a lesson in how to clay...
2BM wash followed...
Maxi Suds, Noodle mitt, Autobrite buckets and dried with a mixture of towels. Shuts tackled with a weak solution of Insta Finish APC and a selection of brushes. Before...
After...
Brought inside to examine the swirls....
Not too bad to be fair. :thumb:
Just thought this might make a nice pic...
G220, Rubbish Boys Polishing Pad (these things are huge! Get them bought! ;) ) Megs 83 gave these 50/50s...
Totally clear finish...
Rolled outside, foamed to remove polish powder...
Z6 wipedown followed....
Supernatural LSP, Z6 wipedown and final Z8 wipedown...
Terrible reflection attempt, sun had gone down at this point... :(
Wheels cleaned with weak Billberry, Megs metal polish and Z6 wipedown. Tyres with Megs Endurance...
Finished article...
Parting shot with my filthy beast! Any excuse.....
Definatly needed a new camera. Great little car tho, thought I'd share!

Really? I think US 16vs look great on them. But you are right, 80s wheels really suit 90s VWs, saw a MK3 Golf the other day on snowflakes. Honestly looked very nice!GTXTRA wrote:excellent stuff Alex - and at last a car that Teardrops actually look good on!

Nah mate, I use a DA. When I'm more experienced I plan on getting a rotary as the process is much quicker with one I'm lead to believe.

Thanks bud! Pros begin to charge at around £200. Depending on how much work/time is needed. I'm a cheap date by comparison81GTi wrote:nice work alex,I have to ask whats the charges for that kind of behaviour?
Sorry bud, Dual Action. Basically safer than a rotory, less chance of damaging the paintReverend Frog wrote:What's a DA?
