Can anyone help!!
Getting loads of interference through my speakers even with just the ignition on (engine not running) gets worse if i start it up.
The full system (2 amps, crossovers, changer, all Kenwood) has been in the car for years with no problems at all, its just started when i put the car back on the road a couple of months ago. The only thing i've changed is the head unit which i had in another car and it was fine in that one so i dont think its that.
I've put a new surpressor on the alternator, new distributor cap, and tried a surpressor on the head unit?
Anyone any idea's
cheers

Re: INTERFERENCE
Could be something really simple like an earth mate, run a new earth to the stereo

Re: INTERFERENCE
you've not damaged an RCA cable whilst changing the headunit, have you?
that'd result in individual channels shorting to earth, or not being earthed.
test by substitution or unplugging individual channels at the inputs of the amps. could just be solder joints in the RCA plugs too if they're plugged in in a tight space.
just a thought.
