Electric aeriel - will it fit?

Post by Johnny_E »

As the title says... in doing up this wee rocco, it needs a new aeriel and while at it, I quite fancy a black electric one like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MEWAX:VRI

Does it fit in the wing OK...? Dont want to go the beesting route (too lazy!) so its electric or a bod standard one in black.

Yes, it fits fine, I have the same one, but stainless steel.

Word of caution on the black though, D_Reamer had a black one on his last Rocco, and if memory serves it (the black) started fading off to a bronzey colour after a while. Don't take that as gospel though, I might be talking trouser seams, at the back. :)

yup, that'll go on no probs. rebember to keep it oiled regular (at least at every service, if not more frequently) to keep it moving smoothly. i would expect it to not stay black for too long though, so personally i'd got for a silvery one
