It's got different wheels on it in one of the pics.

Oh, and I'm dying to know what the 'sweet perfume of the 1980's' smells like.

think the owner been taking the same stuff as the chap selling the storm for silly money too. i wouldnt even pay 10k for a mk2 scirocco thats been totally restored from the ground up and had 4wd turbo engine conversion to it. thats just crazy money

the storms were £7995 new in 84. believe the most expensive vw being sold at that time. and the storm was considered the top spec model of all sciroccos.

That’s the right seat trim for a Scala.

Is the car owned by someone on here? I’m sure I’ve seen that car before as the number plate look familiar???

Is this right here https://classics.honestjohn.co.uk/revie ... rocco-mk2/ http://clubgti.com/showthread.php?12674 ... ti-in-1991 I've a magazine article that says:

When the Corrado arrived in the UK in mid-1889 it was powered by VW's plain 136bhp 1.8litre 16V engine and cost £17,000. A Golf GTI 16V cost £13,000 and the Scirocco Scala £11,600.

As in price as Bloke from volk bits explained to me some years ago on the telephone a MK 2 V.W Scala 1800 Injection 8v where fifteen thousand pounds brand new is this true peoples ? As this all the information I can find out about the price new on the internet

Are you quite sure about that? I own a Scala (1987 1.8 8v carb] and the trim is white with leather(ette) and wheels are white snowflakes.

89/90 fuel-injected Scalas had the white fabric trim, the same as the earlier carb Scalas. After this, they had the same seat fabric as GTIIs.

The only leatherette on a standard Scala seat in either fabric would be on the back and the sides of the bolsters, in black.

The Avus (snowflake) wheels were colour-coded to body on the cars with colour-coded fabric seats, the later ones with GTII-spec seats had black inserts on the wheels regardless of body colour.
