Haven't updated this for a while. Basically just moved house so decorating is taking pioratity at present. But also waiting on panels from Germany. As soon as all parts/ panels have arrived work can begin. Kind of stuck in limbo at the moment.

Right, so while I'm waiting for panels to arrive from Germany I have been
Checking all lights, switches and electrical bits work.
I have noticed that the rear wiper is not working.
So when I push the wiper stalk forward I can hear a clicking coming from fuse box
which I assume is the relay.
So I had a look in fuse box and all fuses are ok. But I have noticed that there is no fuse in slot 5 for fuel pump.
Which has baffled me as the car runs fine. I need to try a fuse in this slot to see if this will fix rear wiper.
Has any one had a similar problem?
Just trying to get little bits done while I wait for parts to arrive.

Carburettor car = no electric fuel pump = no fuse

From memory it's fuse 12 for the rear wiper.
Is the rear window wiper relay present?

Mr Brown just checked relay present and fuse intact.
I'm guessing the problem is nearer the wiper itself.
Have just read that the wiring can fail where it goes into the tail gate.
Another job for the list.

If you haven't taken the fuel filler neck off yet, there is another way. Jack the car up and take the rear wheel off at the driver's side. brush the muck out of the gap between filler neck and body. Get a bright light in the rear wheel arch and take the fuel filler cap off. Look down the filler neck and if you can see patches of light, it's holed. If not, you'll probably want to take it off to re-furb anyway, but if it's badly holed you'll need to look for a new one first.

Thanks for the input guys. Just in the process of removing the rear beam. Having some problems with rusty bolts which just round off. Replacing all break lines though so will just cut hoses so I can get the rear beam and drums in the workshop to work on.
Next job after that will be the filler neck so fingers crossed it's ok.

I went to look at this one before you bought it I guess! Was too much work for me so glad someone else will get it back on the road! The rear 1/4 is rusted on the body joint under the boot lid, that with the rear valance its going to be quite the project! I will keep and eye on your progress!

Quick update.
So rear arches arrived today so work can begin as soon as I get a free Saturday.
Also have taken filler neck off and cleaned it up, only three little holes to weld up then it will be sent to powder coaters. Other parts ready for coating are rear beam and brackets and rear drum back plates. These will be for sale soon if any one interested. Hope fully get my phone fixed this week and will take some pictures.
