Having neared completion on my MK 1 'S' in glorious Nepal Orange (hoping to bring to the
National - if DVLA get their act together re: registration in UK!!!!!!! not holding my breath though!!!) - this is my new project.
It was free from a member on the register last year.
A green 1979 Storm, previous owner had it for around 15 years - in garage/open barn.
After towing it home and stripping it back - I revealed the engine had had its oil cap left off ( perhaps for many years) which meant the head was knackered - hope to sort this later.
Decided to start the bodywork first, so here is the progress thus far...

Marshal,
Jeez I admire your enthusiasm. Restoring one, and keeping it road-worthy gives me sleepless nights - a whole fleet? Different ball game.

Re: mk1 freebie
just run the engine with all that sand in. it'll port and polish it really nicely
If it's got tits or tyres it's trouble but I always go back for more.
