Do the tracking at mine if you want - a couple of the neighbours have old-skool dunlop gauges. You can do the camber with an iphone, a spirit level app, and a piece of wood. It's much more fun that way ;)

The other thing that can cause random flashing of rear lights is corrosion bridging two of the tracks on the backplate, if the lights have got a bit damp. I expect you know that though. Having said that, I'm not 100% sure if Mk1s have those sort of circuit tracks on the rear lights...

A few little finishing jobs and it'll be transformed!

Did lowering it involve changing suspension? If so, I'd be checking it's all done up tight.

Deffo something to do with the wheels/spacers/bolts as it's back on the other ATS and no problems. Anyway, more importantly, I finally managed to get around to doing some of the little jobs on my list..

1. Fit NOS grille badge

Look closely and you may see the sign of the second job....

2. Fit early mk1 Golf manual bonnet release catch (stripped, blasted and zinc plated)

Image

3. Fit new bonnet upper catch

Image

4. Fit Momo Corse gearknob (originally in this car many, many moons ago)

So, despite the weather, I fitted my (imported from the US) "Scirocco S" door cards and the Storm seats. I am quite liking the black and beige look..

Well, now that I have the car back from it's vacation at the grotto..

First job, swap over the wheels and modded rear lights from the Storm -
(I also spent an hour rewiring the rear end)
