Hi Guys / Gals ....

So I am New(Ish) to the register...

I have an LA8Y 1984 GTi 8v (Kjet) with Matching Brown interior on 14" Snowflakes.... (Has to be one of the rarest cars left...)

Well, Good question!

The tag says SK99/SK99, but I can't find any reference to that code. I sent for the pedigree from VW and the Paint Code was "Unknown".

It's red.

I've seen a few posts of forums for the same question, they suggest it denotes 'special order'. So it may not be a standard red, e.g. not Tornado or Paprika etc.
