What is the correct steering wheel for 1984.5 GTi please

Hello to everyone, just joined so saying hello and waiting for my car to arrive from Japan, I've had a good look around the internet and forums but can't find much info can anyone kindly tell me whether the correct steering wheel for my car ( 4 button jobby) should have GTi on it or Scirocco? Many thanks

AFAIK UK market cars had the scirocco font in the early years (I had an '82 CL) then switched to the vw roundel centre section around the 85/86 model year.

Thank you, didn't know about that site, great resource. Have seen my car's twin in the 1984 brochure ( twin wipers and Scrirocco in the rear window), it looks like the GTi name was dropped after 1984 in Germany. I did buy a GTi steering wheel on fleabay over the weekend, will look for a Scirocco centre pad so both options are there.
