Parcel Shelf Bracket Improv?

Heya,

My Mk2 Scirocco has never has always been missing the plastic bracket on one side of the parcel shelf that locates the forward most bar, which the shelf effectively hinges off of. This means it CONSTANTLY falls down.

Anyone in a similar situation managed to improvise something? As all it does is provide something to rest on, I figure it must be fairly simply to replicate, but my ingenuity fails me here.

I can't find the part for sale, unsurprisingly.

Hi, the original clips are no longer available. I sell brass replicas that I have designed. They fit in exactly the same position but being made from brass are a lot stronger. They are £14+ postage. The brass ones essextom sells are top quality and you don't have to worry about breaking them when removing the self unlike the plastic ones if you do find any.
