Hi people new to the forum not new to the scene been around vws for years with the last 5 being polos 2f and mk2 now have a 88 mk2 1.8 gt scirocco on a pierberg (which incidentally isn't running as it should :-o ) and my engine seems to be tapping/knocking and I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about these gt cars common faults and the like thanks in advance guys 8-)

Hi and welcome. Post up your problems in the technical section and our wizards will get back to you. Weber carbs are simpler to maintain but confer no performance advantage and slightly worse economy than a functional pierberg. It depends whether originality matters and if you like a challenge which you go for.

Common faults are legion (though rarely difficult to solve) so easier to ask as they become apparent.
