Shavhead yes it was worth it ,that looks spot on.

I nearly got a TS from Italy but it was sold before I could make arrangements with my friends who live there.

Still looking all over europe ,out of interest where did you get yours?

I bl##dy love your car Shavhead. How do you look for a car like that ; ebay.de?
My missus wants an early Golf, and there just aren't any around unmolested like yours.
Any more done to it since?

right, just figured how to post up pics, so here we go.this was taken a while back but not much has changed to be honest.

no.1(because i have no other pics of it the moment) mk2(garage), bought it round 4 years ago now, drove it for a bit and parked it up, been stripping it and doing smalls bits for a while now, hoping to have a kr head with a 9a block, and a complete rebulid of everything on it, nothing much else except a set of schmidts and a retrim in mk6 cloth. :D

no.2 mk1(green bonnet)got this for 50e as a spare with the other mk1, rust is extensive on the front, wings, bulkhead, doors, but the rest of it looks to be somewhat salvageable, if nothing else i can practice my welding on her, had a diesel engine and loom hanging around a long time, knew it come handy at some stage(just not for sacriligous work like this)

no.3 mk1(centre), the main attraction, originally a lhd(duno if ill keep it that way yet) the rust on this isnt as bad but the sills have disintrgrated and she has been painted at some point, so we can only wait and see what lies beneath, shes gone into hiding as i dont have the room or the time to look at it at the moment, but the plan for this is to take it down to bare metal(thinking about dipping), keeping her as standard as i can with an electric motor instead of an engine--i will be hated.

here ya go
edit-sorry, thought you could see more of the mk2-oops

It was last legal in January.....

...2000!

:D
Ive owned it since 1996

Ive done loads to it over the years, but kids, jobs, and stuff always got in the way.

I'm hoping now to have it back on the road, mot'd and ready to go for paint in a couple of months...
