A couple of Mk1 press adverts

Post by Dr. Dub »

Hi All,

Long time no visit as I am Scirocco-less since November. Anyway, I thought that I would post these Scirocco press adverts that I can't add to my website as I no longer have access to it.

Hope they are of interest to someone.

Dr dub! Never spoke to you in person but been through your site a lot!

How have you lost access to it? That’s a concern!

Long story short. Talk Talk are garbage so I bailed and went to BT broadband. At least my site is still online I guess.

Hmm not good, you don’t have a back up or anything? I don’t mind letting you use some of my hosting for free :-) don’t wanna loose the site!

Fully agree with Jack, your site is too good to loose!

I'm sure it would be possible to download the website somehow, then re-publish it.

Are you not still able to access it by FTP?

As mentioned above it should be backed up.

I run a web dev company if you needed help backing it up, hosting elsewhere.

I used to have a program that would download more or less an entire (simple) website, so that it could be viewed offline. I can't remember what it was, mind, but I'm sure such things are still available.

Fear not. I still have the whole thing on my hard drive and external drive. I just don't have the impetus to change to another server. I've mentioned before that if anyone wants to copy and paste the whole thing from what is online onto the Registers official site they are welcome to.

I just wanted to get those adverts on here as they are a nice bit of automobilia.
