Hi there, another white one! Sciroccos are notorious for getting damp inside, so marine ply would be a better choice for making your own parcel shelf than MDF.

Hi, thought it about time to say hello, name’s Si, owned a lot of vw’s in my 50 years from mk1 golfs to mk3 sciroccos and everything in between, currently finishing a 3 year resto mod on my mk1 scirocco, spec is 1980 gls with early spec wings, 2.0 9a 16v engine, forged pistons / rods, ported head, cat cams, omex throttles etc, mk3 golf recaro seats, should be firing it up for the first time this week, tried to put pics up but files are too large 🙁
Cheers

Ahh cool some of you guys are quite close then 👍, will be at the national meet if I’m not at work, I work shifts in the oil and gas industry and getting time off when I’m due to be at work can be a nightmare, will get a build thread started at some point.
Thanks
Si

Hi all,

I am based in Ireland and my father has a mk1 Scirocco which he is going to start restoring shortly. I joined the forum a few weeks ago after having come across it online. I look forward to the help and advice which you may be able to provide and I also look forward to getting to know you all

Hi :newbie:

I'm the new owner of a white mk3 Scirocco R and so far I'm very happy with it!
Is there anything I need to be aware of?
