I beleive there is a thread on Retro rides about this - perhaps in the help/how to/useful thread section (not been on in a while)

Ta Ryan, me and a mate used to be able to do it with huge pry bars and other leverage items back when we were "restoring" and "fixing" a MGB GT back in school, buts its been a while now.

Will have a search later on

cut thru the tyre with a hacksaw?

go to your local dodgy backstreet tyre shop and bribe them with a fiver

West Midlands is dodgy, full stop dude!

Yeah, was thinking of a saw/angle grinder approach to be honest, just wondered if anybody else had done it.

Cheers for the info guys, another job for the weekend

i've done it hacksawing thru the trye - had to cut thru the rim of the wheel slightly, but i was just weighing it in so didn't care. i've also done it in the past by cutting the wheel out from inside the tyre. this isn't reccommended. one tiny nick to the tyre and it'll never reseal
