new tyres

Post by james butler »

was desperate for some tyres after last saterdays snowfall, so went down to quickfit to see how much some decent 185/65/14 would be. turns out they are doing a tyre by a company called marangoni. total cost of tyre, new valve, nitrogen filling? and balancing was 58 quid each.
they also give you unlimited puncture repairs for the life of the tyre and 1 year warrenty against accidental damage and manufacturing faults.
came oout of the garage and gave the car a bit of a razz n swervin, bearing in mind its icy atm it gripped the road like glue i am well impressed.
i had these tyres on my seat leon and they were good but i put that down to them being so wide in the first place but even the rocko is flying now :vcool:
happy days :pilot:

Max had some Marangoni's on her Polo - a decent Italian tyre. Just don't get Marangoni Zeta's - apparently the tread can separate from the rest of the tyre :shocking:

185/65/14? Standard size was 185/60/14.

I paid £227 including Vat, balancing etc for x4 Pirelli P6000's, bargain in my book.
