Rear Wiper Blank

Post by goaferboy »

I took my rear wiper mechanism off to fit a Scirocco sticker under the spoiler. Sticker went tits up, so ended up in the bin, but I liked the look of it without the wiper, so it's staying that way. I have a rubber blank for now, but it's not a decent fit.

Can anyone recommend a decent fitting blank? The one I have is 25mm and fits nicely, it's just not deep enough to fit either side of the glass, so pops out easily.

i have seen people use american quarters pushed into the origenal gromit.
not the best in the world but it seems to work.
alternatively glue a piece of solid rubber into the middle of the origenal gromit

I dont mind project cars but I HATE SANDING!!!

Measure the diameter of the hole and the thickness of the glass. Put those 2 measurements into ebay, along with the word grommet. You should find both solid ones and open ones.

Place a rear window without the hole for the wiper.

You can even place the SCIROCCO sticker before placing the window.
