Re: clutch cable bulkhead problems
ok just going to paste what i posted on the golf club ( easier than typing again. )
hi guys
ok all stuff posted . 13 brake bar kits / 10 clutch kits
now the bad news , your pound got hammered against our rand was 22.6 - 1 now sitting at 19-1 , if i leave the price the same for the brake bars i am paying in to get the stuff to you , i am not in this for the money as i originally got these to fit my scirocco but alas did not fit , but 1 of the guys on the rocco register asked for 1 for his golf thats when i thought well put them up on the golf forum with the clutch kits ( thats where it all started ) but i cant justify paying in money for the stuff , breaking even i am happy with. i am already 1800 pounds in with the stuff.
i originally sent 3 clutch kits over for free for the guys on the rocco forum to test out and see what they think ( and they work well , at least no more cable pulling through the bulkhead ) , and a full genuine leather seat trim kit for chris to see what the guys think of quality , because even at todays exchange rate will cost in the region off 350 pounds + 80 pounds postage ( 7 kg ) thats with scirocco emblem on them . the guys were telling me they want around a 1000 quid to do full set of seats or am i mistaken , the guys that supply the leather for bmw and mercedes are 20 minutes away from me and i have done industrial automation work in their plant so the hides are well priced and can get any colour no problem.
the guys on the rocco forum helped me with stacks of stuff and this is just a bit of thx in return
i have sent pm's to the guys that wanted the clutch kits ( because i bought 10 kits complete i got a bit more discount which offset the exchange rate ) , they work out to 80.58 pounds postage included to london ( 65 + 15.58 postage ) as from today till end of the weekend after that we will adjust according to exchange rate ,
now ok some guys want to see them first which is 100% fine with me but when they arrive in 2 - 3 weeks time you will be paying a bit more ( prob in the region of 8 quid )
i dont have a problem either way . entirely up to you
the brake bar setup i unfortunately had to bump up 5 quid to 50 quid a setup , scrappers were not interested in giving more discount.
now because of the length and weight ( around 4kg each ) postage is 48 pounds per unit
price for brake bar is 98 pounds postage included to london ( 50 + 48 postage )
if only paying once in london same applies as the clutch kits
so please guys pm me if you still want , and i will send paypal details
i will go according to list , but if guys drop out it will go to the next chap on the list
i hate doing this , but i also felt it in the pocket as i have spent around 100k ( around 5000 pounds ) on my rocco for stuff that side and if i had waited to now would have saved quite a bit prob in the region of 500 quid , and still have to ship dash and windscreen over
i have family coming over in september and the rate has also eaten into their money as well.
cheers
mark
