SFQ - The Clock has stopped!

Post by Bernard »

My dashboard clock has stopped!
It says 0:06 and has done for a while.
The : in the middle no longer flashes and neither of the adjuster 'buttons' has any effect on the display
Pressing them both simultaneously doesn't do anything either.
I have noticed that the speedometer is no longer illuminated, although the tacho still lights up.
It is quite bizarre,
Could the failed bulbs? be related to the stopped clock?
Is this a common failure?
Has anyone scene it before?

Thanks in anticipation.

You could try the old IT fix.... switch it off and on again... disconnect the battery for a couple of mins and see if that clears the clock.

Possibly the best solution I've ever read on here.

Presumably though it's not the lcd that's failed, but a problem with the circuit board behind.
