99.9mpg

Post by eamon1.3 »

Thats what i get according to my mfa. I know theres a slim chance its a bit out, but why? Ive checked the vacum hose and it looks grand, think ill replace it anyway for all itl cost. Read on clubgti it could be the vacum unit on the clocks but anything else i can try first?

And oil temperature wont give me a reading

And one more, apparently its always 40 degrees outside.

It would be nice if it was all working fine and i was doing 99.9mpg while cruising in 40 degrees sunshine

Yea common problem on these if its 99.9 most likely the vacuum sender as you say. People on the golf forums have replaced them with good results in the past.

If not may be the speed sender also.

No you cant .. even if you could im sure they would be very very expensive!

What you want to do is buy a set of clock off ebay that are known working (cheap as possible) and swap the parts over.. Thats what I plan to do :chill:
