Mk 1 rear wiper relay

Post by WayneMK1 »

Anyone know where the rear wiper relay is located on a Mk1? (1980 injection model)

My wash/wipe has never worked, wiring through the tailgate sound and checked, motor works, switch overhauled and washer now works. Front wiper works ok, relay for this is position M (2nd from right) but there is a separate relay for the rear(?)

The mk1 fusebox is pre-CE1 and only has room for 4 (or 5?) relays.

If there is a separate relay for the rear wiper I'm sure it's either above the fusebox or will be dangling behind somewhere - from memory it's a double height relay with the number 72 on it.

Thanks Joost, Mk 1 fuseboard is smaller, however it may be the relay to the LHS as I gave all the relay contacts a clean and it now works..........!
