bit of a weird question to ask as have already fixed the issue, just it took me a while to actually realise what had happened as thought i left something disconnected when doing the clutch change.
here goes - anyone have BOTH sidelight bulbs blow ? at from what i can gather , pretty much at the same time !!!
i have never had this, and nope, it wasnt a fuse either, it was actually both the bulbs.
what would be the most realistic reason ???

Re: sidelights blown
Maybe a bad earth?
Cheap bulbs?
I guess if one bulb goes the extra current went to the other?
Only guessing as I'm not electrical wiz, but it what I would look at 1st.

Re: sidelights blown
Surely that's logical? Factory will fit 2 bulbs from the same manufacturer. Unless you use the parking light (and I don't think many people do) then the bulbs will be on for the same amount of time and should suffer similar amounts of vibration etc. Why wouldn't they both blow at around the same time?

Would be worth checking alternator output, both dc and a volts, to make sure it isn't charging at too high voltage and the rectifier is in a good state
