20vt wiring loom

Post by gayle »

Has anyone on here converted their own loom to put the 1.8 20vt into a mk2 scirocco? Been reading a write up on how to do it for a mk2 golf (I know it's be different) and it doesn't look overly hard (famous last words)
Just wondered if anyone has a wiring diagram for the Scirocco or even wire measurements so I can give it a bash. How hard can it be, right? :stupid:

Google mk1 golf 20vt conversion, loads of info out there. Any has done a write up on his 20vt build- on this link- http://forum.sciroccoregister.co.uk/vie ... 19&t=19427

Perfect, thanks :) engine fitting etc is easy enough, it's just the wiring is the issue. If you see parts being listed from a burnt out Scirocco in the near future, something has gone very wrong :)

When you actually look into it fully and lay out the looms next to each other it’s not too bad.
