MOT Failure - Rear Coil Spring Mounting

Post by jxp »

Hi all, I am back on the forum after a few years away and my GTX has been off the road some time and after some advise.

Anyway, MOT today and apart from flexi break pipe issues its failed on:

"Coil Spring Mounting corroded and weakened Rear Upper" both sides

I am not with the car and waiting full info my pal who has it but I think this is part of the rear shock absorber. Would that be right?

Hope to get to take a look at it later and get it through the MOT

Thanks in advance, Cheers

John P
