Removing battery tray
I want to remove the battery tray on the passenger side chassis leg as I'm relocating the battery to inside the car. Anyone removed theirs before? Any pics? I think its a 'be brave' and get the angle grinder out kind of job. From looking at it, it doesn't appear it will affect any strength in the car?

if it hasn't got a strengthening panel already Nick then just get one - word is that the GSF Golf one suitably cut down is a better bet than the one they did for the rocco. Can anyone confirm this please? After prepping my engine bay this week, it looks like it could do with something being done :r...

I'm 6'4" and with corrado seats and sunroof'd rocco, have no problems with head clearance at all.
The extra 2 inches in height would still give you clearance.
