Re: Upgrading the stereo

Ta for the help. Is in, but not brilliantly, but working. At least i have sound for the journey. Will set it up properly when i get back tomorrow so that the stereo a) fits in properly and b) sounds right. This is the furthest i have driven the Rocco, so will be fun. Going to go down the A1 as its a...

Re: Upgrading the stereo

To be fair i reckon that as long as i get +/- right it should not matter. It looks like at some point someone has amalgamated the wires into one (hence i have 4). Can split and have 8. If i do them in any order it will not matter as i will never want front/rear left/right etc. Just have them on at t...

Re: Suspension MOT 'safe'?

When they say mot safe, why would it fail? I know on an Imp (sorry if i keep putting stuff back to Imps, i have been driving them for 15 years, its all i know) if i lower it the side lights are below the legal limit. Thankfully most MOT test stations are generally not aware of this. When they design...

Re: Upgrading the stereo

Edmundator, you are THE MAAAAAN! :buddy: For some reason my inline fuse was connected to something else. Not sure why, i just took the old stereo out and it was like that so i did not mess. As soon as i connected that up to the live the thing switched on. When i connected the speakers though the blo...

Re: sheared nuts anyone !!!

Is the bolt going into a thread on the bodywork or into a bolt attached to the bodywork? They may be a pain in the arse but i have used helicoils a couple of times. Will have to drill out the original bolt first though. If you cannot get a purchase on the bolt head as it has rounded or something i h...

Autochoke? I assume it has one, mine does the same. Mine goes up to 2k revs for a bit until it does down.

Start fairly rough and then go fine.
I am using various grades, but even when using the heavy grades its still hard work. I am just being lazy and wondering if there are any shortcuts i can make. :chill:

Filler tips

What is the best way to apply and rub filler? I have been doing a fair bit of welding and have been applying filler as thinly as possible to the area i have welded to make a good surface to paint. However no matter how thinly i spread it, its got great big edges that take an hour to rub smooth to a ...
