Re: Red light flashing on and off in dash instruments.

Did the new parts fix it ? I've got the same problem on my 1986 GTX. Starts flashing about 5/10secs after startup, coolant level is fine and is circulation. Temp gauage never gets over hot. Just damn annoying as your driving.

I'm not far then, just north of J18 on the M4, got 2 Mk2 runners and a mk2 storm for spares here.

Re: Mk 2 TDi - gearbox ?

The conversion was done for me by Volksmagic up in the Midlands along with uprated brakes and fully adjustable suspension. Very happy with it, just want longer legs on the box - did wonder about the 4+E box, had one in my very first car - Mk2 Golf GL 1.8 - and it was a great motorway cruiser. Would ...

Mk 2 TDi - gearbox ?

Now that the 1.9 TDi engien has settled in nicely I'm looking to see what I can do gearbox wise, it's still running the stnadrad 1.8 GTX petrol box which i an start quite happily in 3rd or even 4th gear in now! so could do with something a bitter longer legged in the higher gears. If anyone has any ...

Re: Nice US Rocco on Jalopnik

Maybe - but it just looks wrong ! But beauty in eye of beholder I guess ... :-) Hmmm, it's just not my cup of tea. In fact, I plain just don't like it. The bumpers are way too over the top for my liking, and that bonnet bra thingy almost made me sick. It is what it is. Rare, old skool, it will sell ...
