sorted that problem, changed the leads and the starter for a mk3 td unit, its now turning over nicely but the sparks gone... was there before i changed the starter! frustration level is quite high atm!

Alrite all the valver in the rocco is turning over but far too slow to fire! Without the plugs in it's fine, with load (compression) it's slow very very slow! Any ideas, gonna replace all the main starter wiring, earth straps and battery/alt leads, a 1.8 8v Carb starter should be man enough to do th...

glad you got the screen sorted, and you were both okay, it would have been too easy to have lost it at motorway speeds with that happening!! New dash is looking class!

id have to say... roof bars (from the list), i could have killed my uncle when he told me he'd only just thrown out a set the day before he found out i had a rocco, he had the bars the surf-board and ski mounts, the whole shebang payed over 600 for them 22 years ago when he had his! but...he was mor...

cheers guys ive been told by a friend whos runnin a mk1 goof with the same engine/carb combo that the best way to go is bmw m3 cause its low profile twin core and wide so it wont disrupt airflow to the carbs and still cools well! but im gonna try a mk3 rad cause theyre not far off the rite size :) I...

should only take a couple of hours, probably an hours labour for a "pro"...

It's easy though, take your time and it'll all go to plan!
