Re: Failed its mot!!!
Hey mate, This thread covers the clamps, can be bought quite easily now.. http://sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/carforum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15196 I made my own steel ones just like the last post as on both Roccos I've owned they have been a mess, not sure on strength of Stainless probably fine. M...

Re: Mk2 GT2, 2nd attempt at Scirocco ownership

Quite a bit of corrosion of the aluminium so I applied a bit of Hylomar which I know can be counter productive, sorry no pics. Replaced cracked offsi...

Re: Mk2 92 GT2 CV Boots too small?
Hello Sandy, Got the CV boots from http://www.vwspares.co.uk/index.html not exactly sure on size of shafts but just went by year on the boots available. It was £4.55 per boot with the clips and grease +postage but I had ordered a bunch of stuff getting better value. Yours might be smaller but it sho...

Re: Mk2 92 GT2 CV Boots too small?
Sorted thanks, the boots fitted fine. I'll need to keep an eye on the inner boots as on one side where there hadn't previously been an exhaust heat shield it has gone out of shape and could get worse. However I now have a shield on so should be fine for the foreseeable. Even painted up the shafts ht...

Re: Mk2 92 GT2 CV Boots too small?
Thanks folks, I had stripped the front end to fit new wishbones/ball joints with fresh bushes last night along with these CV boots and was having a mild panic when I saw the shafts looked bigger. They are not the stretchy ones but looking at the inner diameters of the wide end from other suppliers i...

Mk2 92 GT2 CV Boots too small?
Bought a pair of these boots from http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=674 weeks back because the original ones look tired... http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee319/maccoll_photos/DSC_0380_zpsaf39b014.jpg However they seem small as the drive shafts seem bigger than the ones I had...

Re: My Rocco :)
Scirocco looks clean, nice to have one with what looks like nice paint, mines a DIY distaster. I recognise your Polo from Clubpolo a few years back, I've had Polo's and drove this before Scirocco's, regret ever getting rid of it TBH.. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee319/maccoll_photos/PC180085....
