The FK inserts I have are used with -40mm springs so TBH not sure. Think they should be standard as standard dampers can be used with th -40mm springs.
Again in Mark's link you'll see the BOGE inserts if you search for Mk1 Golf parts. Don't seem to be listed for Scirocco. Good company for parts also.

Re: Mk2 GT2, 2nd attempt at Scirocco ownership
Yes as Mark mentions I was looking at this type of product.. http://rust.co.uk/products/category/28117/epoxy-mastic-rust-proofing-chassis-paint/ More expense for me TBH, might consider but I already have etch/stonechip to hand anyway. If you get a galvanised tank I would still protect it with someth...

Re: Buying brake pipe/tools/bigger servo?
just changed the title slightly, wondering if anyone can shed any light on this bigger servo? Has anyone done this mod or know anything about it? I reckon buying a mk2 master cylinder with four outlets should see me right, not sure which one and what reservoir to use? Going to take a few weeks prepa...

Re: HERMAN THE GERMAN! '91 Black Scala Rocco 8v to 16
Great enthusiasm here, Nice purchase. I'd be keeping the original engine as injections are rarer, loads of GT's to mess with and I'd keep the brown interior, think you said you thought it was an old mans colour somewhere lol. I think it is retro cool but I am getting a bit of an old fart. However if...

Re: Buying brake pipe and tools+advice
Guaranteed I'll do exactly that Nate, Here is the the Mk2 Golf Servo pictured behind the standard(rusty)type, it's bigger but requires it's own master cylinder.Which reservoir would I use? Trouble is the master cylinder seems to only have two outlets so would require T pieces and possible more confu...

Re: Buying brake pipe and tools+advice
Thanks Nate, I suppose plenty time should be set aside for this. I bought the brake flare tool I linked above, been reading a few posts on CGTI and it seems to be good quality for the price. I believe the cheapest ones can be a nightmare to use. I've ordered from that link Sandy, got the pipe and un...

Thanks for the offer I'm not sure, would that be enough for the whole car?
Might be interested, cheers.

Buying brake pipe/tools/bigger servo?
Ok car is a Mk2 Scirocco 92 GT2 I am going to replace my fuel tank and while I do this I will swap on a refurbished rear beam. I have everything for that beam, drum brakes, springs etc. including handbrake cables but figure I might replace the brake pipes and hoses as these are looking particularly ...

Re: brake disks
:shocking: I will be purchasing Pagid disks and pads soon, take it you bought from Carparts for less? seems to correspond with the price you mention. I've read great things about Ferodo, prices are higher for a better product I suppose. I'm quite happy to use Pagid for both.I used to drive Polo's wi...

Re: Mk2 GT2, 2nd attempt at Scirocco ownership
I wasn't expecting primed, maybe galvanised though like the ATP ones seem to be. It's more the damage I am annoyed with but I'll get it protected with good products. I should be fine for the clamps thanks. I have pretty rusty spares but reckon the ones on the car are in good condition for painting up.

Re: Mk2 GT2, 2nd attempt at Scirocco ownership
Hello again Rob here is a scan.. The template is between just over 66 by 154 mm, this is not a precise science (the template isn't precisely cut, it's a piece of envelope lol ). The figures are as I have measured the template and might not add up to the length of the full plate. I have written 1/2 f...
