Re: Temperature Guage Readings
The car's put away now for the winter, but a couple of weeks ago when it was fine I took it out down the motorway at a steady 60mph, but the gauge just seemed to want to go up towards three-quarters, which concerned me a bit. I put the heater on full-blast, but it didn't make much of a difference. ...

Re: Fitting a new front & rear silencer
Ive took one off before without droping the axle, took a bit of wiggling but came out, so in theory a new one should go in?

Re: Fitting a new front & rear silencer
Dont need to drop the axle, the two boxes join near the axle so they can be taken out seperatly. Joint can be a pain to split but if the system is scrap you can just cut it

Re: What suspension set up would you recommend for a Mk2?
Had jom coilovers in my vento, they were great, surprisingly comfy, but could be a bit bouncy on rough roads. My red gtx had standard shocks and eiback springs, was a bit firmer than the coils but went round corners brilliantly.

Re: Low offset on a mk2
Would prob work on a standard car but look terrible. Look for a set of et50 ones. Non abs 944s come with et23, abs models, all the later ones, have the et in the 50s

Front brake hose to shock clips
What type of clips hold the front brake hose to the shock on a Rocco? Put coilovers on my vento and they have a different type of clip for the hose. Standard vento shock has a c shape clip but new coilover has a wee tab on it just. I've seen the type of rubber clip thing I need before but can't find...

Re: Why is my mk2 overheating?
Ive put in a brand new thermostat into a car and it was still over heating, took it back out and tested it and it was dead, so worth checking it.
