All mk1 & mk2 scirocco's had a cork gasket as standard so if you have seen one with a rubber gasket its non standard, the rubber gasket (mk3 golf) is an upgrade which works very well, just dont forget to make sure you get the correct studs with the kit as the originals will not allow the new gas...

Fitted polybushes to the old gtx's anti roll bars and rear beam, small improvement in handing but was a lot harsher than rubber, its a shame vw have discontinued the bushes as theres not a lot of decent rubber bushes available now

You can buy a rubber rivnut that doesnt need a tool to fit them, take a look on ebay as i have seen them on there before

Colour code a gromet for the wing? better than nothing in the meantime, or just fit a period aerial and leave it down

Swapped the clocks over for a spare set to test and using the spare set the telltail works perfectly so i shall assume the fault is somewhere on the printed circuit board of the clocks, anyone know if its possible to swap over the printed circuit boards without the need for soldering? looks to me as...

I have checled the earths by the fusebox (had them play up on my mk1) and they are all fine nice and clean, guess it could be a faulty diode on the clocks or something, if i get a chance i may swap the clocks over for a spare set tomorrow to test that theory out

Just realised that the blue telltale light for the main beam no longer works in the mk2, mot is due soon so need to get this sorted pronto, already checked the obvious fuse but thats fine (and the main beams work) what is the likely cause? I made a start on this conversion a while ago and concluded that custom headlight mounting frames are the way forward, theres a few nicely done examples over on vortex that have used custom frames, i will use aluminium for my frames when i get a bit of time to do it

Thought it looked familiar, somewhere on my old system i have the photos from when it was for sale, that was probably a decade ago though i cant remember exactly, seem to remember it being a bbs bodykit? or being told it was at the time anyway

The last one with the bodykit looks familiar, does it have a storm leather interior and does the reg start something like who?
