Re: My Project
I do apologise, but what do you mean it won't start , bar the obvious?? Does the starter engage? Spark and Combustion and Exhaust .. If you have spark from the plug do you have fuel for the combustion?? There are many reasons and if you be a bit more specific I think i can help as I had similar issu...

Re: A rear wheel cylinder question !!
Thanks for that. I did have the two regulators under the master cylinder so bought two cylinders from your link. The big bonus was there is an offer on those cylinders so they were just over a tenner each instead of 16.

A rear wheel cylinder question !!
Hi all.. What size do I need for the 1991 GTii rear wheel cynlinder. The one I took off was the "two bolt hole" 14mm one but I am confused as to whether this was right. The rear brakes were lousy.

Re: Ream brake line removal from Wheel cylider.
IN case anyone is wondering the conclusion of this ... well, these pipes had been on for thirty years.. be prepared to replace the majority of pipes and hack, cut and splice almost the entire rear brake pipe system away

Ream brake line removal from Wheel cylider.
Hi all, I have to replace the rear axel stud and drum but am having a nightmare with the rear brake line. It seems welded into the cylinder as loads of plusgas and brute force cannot shift it. Same with the hex bolt at top of wheel cylinder. The brake nut is rounded now so I need to remove the pipe ...

Re: Fuel Pipe Removal
Thank mark1 - The fuel pipes arrived and were like a spring as they need to be straightened.. That makes it easier as I can simple unravel the first foot or so which avoids having to undo the bar.. I imagined they would arrive unravelled and already in position etc but thankfully the pipes are sort ...

Re: Fuel Pipe Removal
Hi Russ, no , i mean the front... When the pipes are undone you can't get them off as there is a bar in the way (anti roll bar) You can cut the old ones by the bottom of the bulkhead and remove all the parts but fitting them is an issue... I think maybe the braided section - about 10 inches of braid...

Re: Fuel Pipe Removal
Thank you essextom. I have an idea but I will hopefully hear from you better knowledge guys on this as to whether I'm taking a risk..... Rather than removing ARB and wishbone brackets at a risk of damaging would I not cut the new fuel pipes and use a high quality braided line between the bulkhead an...

Fuel Pipe Removal
Hi all.. removing the fuel pipes seemed an easy job.. everything all undone and fuel pips loose.. except how do I get them out?? There is some sort of bar connected to the wheels stopping me from pulling the pipes out from underneath the car... I am completely stumped as I have to get the new ones i...

Re: PIERBURG Rebuild - pre build advice
UPDATE - So today i decided to fit the Pierburg that i recently got and see what happens.. Huge Success !! Wax stat works, 3pu working, perfect. After all the issues I had I could not believe it... I took it for a quick spin and there is now no flat spot at all , the acceleration is linear rather th...

Re: PIERBURG Rebuild - pre build advice
Well, I read that and there is no questioning any of what you said. My initial issue was the car suffered from "running on" which was a faulty 3PU and when i saw the price of a new one being four hundred pounds I got a great deal on a weber - I paid almost one hundred and fifty delivered w...
