Thank you for the link. I'm repairing some GTX seats and the cable is missing on both seats. The mechanism had been twist tied together.

Seat adjustment cables

Hi, can anyone help in finding the seat adjustment cables please. I can find the shorter one but need the longer one. Alternatively is there a dual bowden cable I can use?

My new carb

So I purchased a Weber carb for a manual gearbox just before lockdown. I bought all the parts to refurbish it and convert it to an auto gearbox version. Fitted it and then lockdown kicked in. Finally managed to get out in it last night. Brilliant. The 62 plate Audi behind me did eventually catch on....

On taking the body kit off my car that had been off the road for 9 years I had similar problems. I'm lucky enough to have a friend who does my welding. I love making the repair panel side so it works for us and cuts down the time for him. If you're able to and if you feel confident grab some cardboa...

I too was also tempted. We've already got a 1600 auto and a few Mk2 Golf autos so have the odd engine and carb lying around as spares. My Scirocco did "outpace" a Ford Galaxy that sat on my tail. Enjoy

Check the dipstick tube is also not broken as the dipstick will drop giving a false reading. Don't ask how I know.

As per the above with all this time I've sorted out all my Pierburg carbs and parts into a box as I'm now 2/3 of the way to Weber carbs.

I used to buy a liquid mask when I made 1/24 model kits. It would prevent over painting. Otherwise measure the gap and see if there is any pinstriping or such that will fit.
