Looking at the Haynes manual, the rear lock actuator is held in place with a couple of screws. This also has the connection rod to the rear of the lock. I would hope releasing the actuator would give you access to release the pipe. I would have thought the rubber pipe would have welded itself on af...

haha joost.... because didnt know where the wiring,vac pipes, go.. or split so found joins in cables then puled through. Had tailgate swapped on mk2 golf before they cut cables and never pulled through wires for heated screen, so thought do myself and make sure wires and connection made.. only have ...

as with all lower parts on a car take care with rust and pin holes..... you can change all and then next day find a pin hole leak, due to removal and install, plus improved pressure on the pipes from new pumps. Try wire brush, then wd40/plus gas /and leave to soak prior to trying to remove..... doub...

Che ck you have earth to rocker and earth from coil is good .. try disconnect battery to reset mfa.

Hi Mark, its me!!! lol now i have 2 roccos.. anyhow is not the rocco steering rack same as golf? if it is then mark carter has full kits with bushes and gaiter(minus universal joint) its a good morning job on mk1 golf, so if all the same then with engine in it should be same job? Are you sure its not the limiter cutting in.. my cabby is jh and only judder on start up..like misfire until warm. Then when high revs its got a limit built in small shudder..

well today I've gone and collected a solid tailgate..and loosely installed.. What a nightmare trying to peel liner back.. Any how couldn't work out how to get the central locking hose off..so ended up cutting pipe,will repair it later.. Also trail fitted radio... replaced tail ght bulbs.. Drove car ...

Hi essextom, just check height on your pdf.. 180? I know a typo.. and like you say check all measurements again. Like mark says trial and error,twist works, but I find depends on ambient temp. Give a go then make adjustments,belt will last few years so may aswell take 5mins on it
