Excellent lads this has really helped, thanks a lot.
Sourcing the ECU from a golf must be the easier way.
Cheers for the heads up on the exhaust manifold. I will bear that in mind for the future.
Does this information above also apply to a KR 16v engine?

Re: 9A scirocco engine conversion
So supplying my own electric pump for the Carb might be more hard work than fitting the fuel injected assembly? Especially if I could source it all from one donor? I’ve heard that 9A and KR have a lot of interchangeable parts. Would this apply to the fuel injected system? Believe me my electronic un...

Re: 9A scirocco engine conversion
The engine I’ve bought is from a 16v mk2 golf which has had the bottom end converted to a 9A. As far as I’m aware I should just treat this as a 9A as the blocks are the same. Excellent Cheers for the info it’s really going to help. As I’m going to keep it carb will I be able to source the fueling sy...

Re: 9A scirocco engine conversion
I am just trying to find out if it has been converted.
Concerning the fuel system, gearbox, driveshafts and exhausts. Would a donor corrado be the best route to go down to source the parts?
Looking for some help on what to buy and where to start with this so any advice is welcome

GT2 paint code
Hello hello, I’m having trouble finding out what the paint code is on my scirocco. It is a 1991 mk2 gt2 in a silver colour. Obviously there are loads of silvers too choose from so I’m wondering if anyone has the same car and could shed some light. The paint codes are missing from boot/doors/engine b...
