carb flange.. rock the carb and look at the rubber mounting... yours is split... 15 quid on ebay and 30mins unbolting.. you will need a new gasket

update... i drove to Croatia and back on this set up over 10days... clocked 124mph gps on the autobahn - sounded like it needed more fueling at top end so i have bought a booster pump and regulator... 2500miles later i did some calculations and I am getting 24mpg... oops

Hey so we are heading to Croatia from Bristol and started to have gearbox issues. Lightly noisy/light whine gearbox and jumps out of 5th gear. Given its Sunday (France shuts on sundays) all I could get was some 15/40 to top up the oil by taking speedo off gearbox). Its not jumping out now but my que...

Hiya,
Just looking for a few bits and pieces.. things like the ash tray and interior trim. Also a twin box exhaust (big bore)
I am in Bristol and for the moment the cars not working (until i fit a new core plug) but can pay for courier/post.

Just to say, Ive just had a good experience with a 38dgas. minor issue with butterfly not sealing on throttle but easy to sort out... and about £300 cheaper than a real deal weber... a lot of 'genuine' webers were poorly made. I would say that it seems to be made out of a different alloy mix.. so as...

so I lightly sanded the throttle plates and they seal nicely (was just one of the throttle plates and probably would of worn in quite quick. added a stronger return spring and it idles nicely. seems fine without the choke, takes a few spins extra to fire up but then its fine. its 2-5c when starting ...

well I guess the forum is quiet these days so ill talk to myself... The alloy base plate had to be modified (drill, jigsaw), the auto choke had to be removed from the new 38 dgas as it hit the bulkhead. 2 mins to remove it.
