Not looked on here in a while, I usually flick through the posts on FB. I think I heard of someone making a fibreglass part from a mould.
Have you had any luck finding the parts you need?
If not, maybe someone knows who had a mould….

Re: New Member 83 GL Auto
Reminds me of my alpine white CL I used to own many moons ago.
Nice tidy example you have there. And good to see the care going in to it to keep it looking it’s best

Re: Battery problems
I have a Bosch s3 battery, I also swapped out my alternator for a GSF replacement about 10 years ago so it’s not original. I don’t use my Rocco as a daily, it’s used mostly in good weather… make your own jokes 😁. I have a Ctek 3.8 smart charger and use it to condition the battery, it copes fine. I h...

Re: endless Hiccoughs and temporary cutting out.
I didn’t touch my jets in the carb, but like you changed most of the other components. Like I say my problem was with the inlet manifold gasket; impossible to diagnose. Good luck, and if you resolve this issue, let us know for reference

Re: New Brake Caliper Wobble
Probably for the best, stick with originals, try looking at golf parts too, check with anyone else who’s found other vw models that interchange. Part number maybe different, but fitment could be the same. I found this with seat belts, I used a mk2 polo passenger belt from a two door to replace my Ro...

Re: Avus snowflake wheel refurb
I have a paint shop near me that mixes from scratch, he also does clear obviously. I can buy bog standard clear or a professional finish clear, I bought and used the latter. But what I’m saying is looking at your newly polished wheels, I’d be more than happy applying a clear coat. The nozzle on the ...
