Speedo stops when clutch depressed?
Odd issue in the missus' 1992 GT2.
The speedo stops when the clutch is depressed. Doesn't matter if it's in gear or neutral - when driving along as soon as you depress the clutch the speedo needle drops to zero.
Any ideas? Many thanks in advance :)

Re: Oh no - big oil leak from engine....ideas on from where?
Okies - I've sprayed some degreaser on it and will rinse it off tomorrow when it's a bit lighter and see if I can see where it's coming from. It's deffo the left side as you look at the engine (belts end). There's nothing from where the oil filter attaches - I can see that area and there's no sign o...

Oh no - big oil leak from engine....ideas on from where?
1992 GTII 1.8 8v carb got a serious oil leak from the driver's side certainly maybe front, not sure where exactly as it's dark and I can't see. Missus got home asked me to put some water in the washer jets. Noticed the driver's side of the engine was wet - closer look made out to be oil. Lookede und...

Re: Fast/erratic idle and engine run-on 1.8 8v Carb
Hey - the missus's 92 GT2 will sometimes idle at high revs - 1200 sometimes 1500 sometimes 2000rpm. A few blips of the throttle will usually make it settle down. It's had a Weber conversion at some point in it's life. Also very occasionally the engine will keep running for a few seconds after the ig...

Programmable intermittent wipe?
Hey all - quick question. My 94 Corrado has a programmable wipe whereby you can chose the delay. This is controlled by a relay, I forget which one. Has anyone tried retrofitting the 'Rado one to relay location 10 on a MK2 Rocco? I see there is a relay 99=front wiper variable here . I do miss the var...

The missus uses her 92 GTII as her daily - 24 miles a day commute.

It happens in threes I guess.....
Well after collecting the old girl on Tuesday after her MOT test, which she sailed through without even an advisory, I managed to get a 2 inch wood screw in the nearly new tyre. Luckily our local garage was able to repair it for a tenner. Then, on the way home today, somebody was on the wrong side o...

Re: Passed MOT, interior water leak and an underwater brakelight
Okies - thanks for the pointers. I've finally got a weekend off, so I'll have a poke about and see.
I'm also going to be putting in an ignition switched live feed for the radio and a dashcam :)

Passed MOT, interior water leak and an underwater brakelight
The missus has had her 92 rocco for just under 3 months now, and the car went off for her MOT test. Please to say the car went straight through, without any advisories, so we're well chuffed! The missus says after heavy rain, sometimes there's a small gush of water in the passenger footwell. Any tip...

Leak where float/fuel lines come out of tank
Hey all - the missus brimmed the '92 1.8 8v carb today and when she got home the car utterly stank of fuel. There was petrol pissing out underneath, so I lifted the rear seats, took off the inspection cover and that's where the fuel was coming from. Stopping the engine and the leak slowly tapered of...

Re: Switched live, is the light switch meant to be illuminated, no handbrake light and what are these wires?
Thanks for the reply - with that info I've done some more digging: Yes, I have the spade type at the extreme rear right of the fuse board as you look at it, so can a switched feed from that - many thanks for the link! The handbrake light was a loose connection and now works when the handbrake is lif...

Is this the right mirror, what is this and interior light issue/part no
Hey there - new owner, so a few questions if you don't mind: This mirror doesn't look standard - I assume it's not the original one? I found this thing tucked away when I took the stereo out - I take it that it fits in the blanked off round part top of the picture? Is it worth refitting? It does &qu...

Switched live, is the light switch meant to be illuminated, no handbrake light and what are these wires?
Hey there - new rocco owner, long term rado owner so used to fannying about lol. A few questions - I would like an ignition switched live supply for the stereo and for a dashcam. Where is the best place to get one from? There's nothing at the stereo end, the only wire I have tested is one that goes ...
