For anyone travelling on Saturday I will be be at Corley Services M6 Northbound (obviously) at 0800 looking to depart 0830 for Telford Services. Ideal for anyone heading north up the M1/M6/ or west on the A14 etc that wishes to meet up with a fellow Mk2.

Mk2 F reg dark colour, blue black or grey heading up M11 slip road near Cambridge on Sat morning around 0830. Anyone on here?

My Weitec HIcon GT rear springs have 200 - 50 stamped on them if this means anything to you.

Inside the fuel tank you have a lift pump. On the end of the pick up pipe you have a filter/strainer and these can block and limit flow at higher speeds. Could be worth checking out.

Had something similar a few years back. CV joint is most likely due to leaking boot as they can loose the lubricant and overheat. Possible that it is the wheel bearing but you will hear a droning sound rather than a clicking sound synonymous with a failing CV joint. Many years ago an Austrian VW mec...

Had exactly the same symptoms coincidently driving in Germany. Took VW a couple of days to source the fault and it turned out to be a partially blocked lift pump filter mesh inside the tank. Has been alright for the last 20+ years!

I use them for Weber service parts, good service and very knowledgeable.

I shall be travelling down the A605 joining the A14 at Thrapston. Happy to meet any National revellers at the little chef Kettering at 0730 and or Corley services on the M6 at 0800 for a steady cruise to Telford services to arrive 0900 ish. It worked well last year, anyone up for it?

Heard a throaty exhaust in Carlisle town centre on Saturday, looked up to see a nice black mk2 reg F36 SUL, you shot past me before I could wave from the pavement by the Cathedral.
