So from what ive read i need to check. Fuel lines. The pump. The swirl pot. Fuel filter. Filler neck. Carb. Fuel return line. Ignition amp.

so all i need is. new pump and a restrictor in the fuel return? as i too are getting the same problems. car hates going up any hill or hates over taking just splutters and ends up limping up the rest of the hill. only does it when up to temp. SOOO ANOYING!!

Well it deffinatly cant be a oil pump impeller. As its a sealed unit. Only exit is the oil ways and the strainer that has a gause on it. So it has to be a baffle of some kind. Ill up load a photo of my bucket of plastic i pulled from the strainer and sump

Im just going to stick with the baffle idea. As there are some rather large bits there all in a oily bucket now so meh. The bottom end looks spotless for a car thats done 177k its not bad. But thetappety noise it used to make has completly died down. And theres no more annoying engine oil light buzz...

Oil is out sump is removed. To find the strainer blocked with bits of plastic and quite a few bits of plastic shards sitting in the sump.
RESULT!! just ota clean the strainer out and refit and re-fill

How hard is it to replace the oil pump? Today im only going to be dropping the sump nd cleaning the strainer i might even remove the pump and see if i can clean it out and see whats broken on it.
